Pop Smoke was an American rapper born Bashar Barakah Jackson in 1999 in Brooklyn, New York. He rose to fame in 2019 with the drill hit "Welcome to the Party." Known for popularizing Brooklyn drill, he released Meet the Woo mixtapes and his posthumous debut album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon (2020). He was killed in a home invasion in Los Angeles in 2020 at age 20.
